Tips for Cracking UP ITI Exam in First Attempt

ITI Industrial Training Institutes or Centres are constituted under DGET (Directorate General of Employment and Training), Union Government of India and Ministry of Labour and Employment. Such Institutes are also called Jr. Polytechnic Institutes. Technical field training is provided in ITI centers. Vyavsayik Pariksha Parishad Uttar Pradesh conducts exam of UP ITI entrance. If you are qualified ITI with engineering trade with AITT NCVT, then you can be called Mechanical or Electrical Engineer. Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) is equivalent to same. Jobs after ITI passed from approved Government College one can get jobs in Army, Railway, Navy, Rseb and Airforce also and in other Private Companies. Some trades available to be studied in ITI are:

m.    Draftsman Civil

d.       Fitter

n.       Electroplater

e.       Instrument Mechanic

o.       Electronics Mechanic

q.       Mechanic Motor Vehicle

h.       Mechanic Fridge and AC

r.        COPA

i.         Mechanic Machine tools

s.        Computer Hardware and Network Maintenance

j.         Draftsman Mechanic

 

 

Eligibility for UP ITI: For various trades mentioned above, Exam is about to be conducted by Uttar Pradesh Education Board.  

  1. For pursuing any programme of UP ITI and being eligible for UP ITI exam, you have to be 10th or 12th Standard Pass from a recognised Board of Institution with Physics and Mathematics. Different trade require 8th, 10th or 12th passed candidates.
  2. Minimum age for appearing for UP ITI entrance exam is 14 years.

 

Pattern of UP ITI entrance exam:

  1. Entrance exam question paper will be objective
  2. MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions ) will be asked
  3. Total 100 questions will be asked
  4. Each question mark is 04 numbers
  5. Negative marking of answers is not applied
  6. Duration of exam will be 03 hours
  7. Questions will be asked from Numerical Ability, General Awareness, General Intelligence and reasoning and English Comprehension

Tips and Tricks for cracking UP ITI Exam:

  1. First of all you should be aware of subjects and topics to be studied for exam preparation, here is brief listing given of subjects to be studied
    • For Mathematics or numerical ability, these are some topics to be covered rigorously - HCF, LCM, Number System, ratio and Proportions, Decimal Fractions, Simplification, Percentage, Unitary Method, Time and work, Time and Distance, Average, Profit and Loss, Algebra and simple and compound interest. Covering these topics will straight get to clear numeric section.
    • For preparing for Current affairs, every source from where you can get current news should be entertained. Main topics which are covered in Current affairs are Current National and International affairs, Budget & five years plan, who is who, financial news, Economic news, sports, Innovations, Government schemes, Science Inventions and discoveries, important days and awards.
    • For preparing for General Intelligence and reasoning, divide the same into 2 parts verbal and Non verbal &ndash
      • For verbal study Alphabet series, Number series, Coding Decoding, Test of direction sense, Arithmetical Reasoning, Number Ranking, blood relations, problems on age calculations, analogy, blood relations and decision making.
      • For non verbal study Cubes and dices, Mirror images, Non verbal series, embedded figures and Grouping Identical figures.
  2. For English Comprehension study, Literature, Grammar and Authors and their Literary Works.
  3. For Mathematics and English, your basics should be clear because they will help you to solve difficult questions.
  4. Study Schedule will be helpful in completing all syllabuses in time, both in study and exam.
  5. Start with the subject you are very familiar with, because it will help you to complete that section in due time, leave difficult subject for end, both for study and attempting in exam.
  6. Solve previous year&rsquos papers: Previous years exam papers are available online, libraries, with senior students. Solving these papers will help a lot to know structure and format of exam. This will help in checking out your speed of attempting exam.
