In Engineering, mathematics is the common subject for all streams for the 1st year and then subjects get different depending on the core stream like if you chose IT then all the subjects will be related to IT only and in Electronics, all the subjects will be related to it only. If you want to pursue B.tech then go for the core fields like petroleum engineering, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering as they are unsaturated and have good career prospects.
