ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow for IRRI to be based in Patancheru, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

Competencies: Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English.Proficiency in Genetics/Plant breeding/Computational biology will be an added advantage.Ability to work independently as well as in a team, adaptable to working in multicultural environment.
Requirement:Master degree in Plant breeding and Genetics/Biotechnology or related fields with NET.
 
Experience in conducting next generation genomics data analysis.
Proven technical skills to work in multi-cultural team. 
 
General:  The is a Consolidated category position for 2 years 7 Months, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the Institute's continuing need for the position. The compensation, terms and conditions will be as per DST guidelines.

It was founded in 1972 by a consortium of organisations convened by the Ford and the Rockefeller Foundations. Its charter was signed by the FAO and the UNDP. Since its inception, host country India has granted a special status to International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropicsas a UN Organisation operating in the Indian territory making it eligible for special immunities and tax privileges.
