Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the Ph. D. Programme in Bengali Language & Literature, University of Calcutta, for the session 2019-2020.
Admissions will be made on the basis of a written test, of two hours duration followed by an interview. Candidates with NET/SET/M. Phil are not required to appear in the written test but need to appear in the interview.

The candidates should download the '˜application form' from the university website for the admission test and interview and submit the same along with the payment receipt of application fee of Rs. 100/- to the department. (12 Noon to 4 pm).

The last date of submission of application forms is 17th June, 2019. Filled in application forms, accompanied by the Payment Receipt of Rs.100/- should be submitted to the office of the Department of Bengali
Language & Literature, Asutosh Building (1st floor) 87/1 College Street, Kolkata -700073 on all working days between 12 Noon to 4 PM.
