Project Title  :  'Long-Term Monitoring of Wildlife and their Habitats in Antarctica and Southern Ocean'

No. of Post  :  01

Qualification  :   First Class in Master's degree in Wildlife Sciences/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Life science/ Marine Biology and allied disciplines. Minimum one-year experience of field research / wildlife conservation work at high altitudes/ offshore marine surveys/ Polar regions.

Desirable :  Experience of working in a multidisciplinary project.  Experience of conducting aerial surveys or participation in field expeditions.  Minimum one publication in a peer-reviewed UGC approved journal

Emoluments :  Rs. 25,000/- + HRA as applicable

Age Limit :  Age limit for the position is 32 years but age relaxation will be considered as per Government of India norms for reserved category candidates.

Selection Process :  The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the written exam and personal interview.


Application Process :

The candidates appearing for Written Exam should report at Wildlife Institute of India (WII),Chandrabani, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, with original application and documents at 0930 hours on 5th July 2019 for scrutiny of documents followed by Written Examination on the same day at 1030 hours. Result of the written exam would be announced at 13:00 hours and shortlisted candidates would be interviewed from 1400 hours onwards.

Application should be duly filled in the prescribed format, duly signed and should be accompanied by self-attested copies of documents on educational qualifications, research experience, UGC/CSIR/GATE certificate (if any),extracurricular activities, date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations, community certificate (if sought relaxation as per Government of India rules),etc.
