Project Positions in Water Resources Engineering
IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for the following project positions as per the
details given below:
A. Project Title: Water4Change: Integrative and fit-for-Purpose Water Sensitive Design
Framework for Growing Livable Cities funded jointly by DST-NWO (under Indo-
Netherlands science support).
A1. Research Associate : (1 post)
Essential Qualification: PhD in any branch of Engineering (thesis topic must be in water
management area) or M. Tech. with three years experience
Preferred Skills: Water distribution network(WDN),urban water management, drainage,
waste water disposal, field work, data acquisition, application of IOT to WDN, project
coordination, technical report writing.
Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to 2 years based on
performance.
Remuneration: Rs 49,000/month + HRA
A2. JRF : (2 posts)
Essential Qualification: B. Tech./M.Tech. in any branch of Engineering with GATE
Preferred Skills: Water distribution network(WDN),urban water management, drainage,
waste water disposal, field work, data acquisition, application of IOT to WDN
Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to 2 years based on
performance
Remuneration: Rs 31,000/month + HRA
A3. Project Assistant : (1 post)
Essential Qualification: B.Tech. in any branch of Engineering
Preferred Skills: Water distribution network(WDN),urban water management, drainage,
waste water disposal, field work, data acquisition, project coordination, technical
report writing.
Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to 2 years based on
performance.
Remuneration: Rs 22,000/month.
B. Project Title: AMR Flows: Antimicrobials and resistance from the manufacturing flows
to people: joined up experiments, mathematical modeling and risk analysis funded jointly
by India-UK).
B1. Research Associate : (1 post)
Essential Qualification: PhD in Civil Engineering (with specialization in hydrodynamics
or related fields) or M.Tech. with three years experience
Preferred Skills: Computational and experimental hydraulics, hydraulic modelling,
hydrological modelling, GIS and remote sensing, river engineering, field work, data
acquisition, project coordination, Technical report writing.
Remuneration: Rs 47,000/month + HRA.
