SSC - Executive Branch/Technical Branch   job opportunities in Indian Navy

Applications are invited from unmarried candidates who fulfill eligibility condition of Nationality as laid down by the Government of India for entry as Short Service Commission (SSC) officers in Executive (IT) and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES),for course commencing June 2020.

Eligibility :  Applicant should be in the final year (regular BE/B.Tech or integrated degree course) in an AICTE recognized university with one of the following educational qualifications and should have obtained a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks till pre final year (till V semester of regular BE/B.Tech and VII Semester of 5 year integrated degree course).

Promotions & Pay Scale :   Promotion from Sub-Lieutenant to Commander is on time scale basis subject to completion of mandatory courses, qualification criteria, sea time and medical conditions. The Pay Scale and promotion criteria are as follows:-

Sub Lieutenant (SLt) :  Level - 10, Rs.56100-110700

Lieutenant (Lt) : Level - 10B, Rs.61300-120900

Lieutenant Commander (Lt Cdr) : Level - 11, Rs.69400-136900

Commander (Cdr) : Level - 12A, Rs. 121200-212400

Age Limit  :   Born between 02 Jul 1996 to 01 Jul 1999 both dates inclusive.

Medical Standards :   The candidate can apply if meeting the following medical standards (with correlated weight as per height and age):-

Min Height (in cms)

Electrical/ Engineering Branch :  157

Executive (IT)  :  157

Eye Sight/Correctable with glasses

Electrical/ Engineering Branch :  6/24, 6/24  -  6/6 both eyes

Executive (IT)  :  6/60, 6/60  - 6/6 both eyes

Physical Fitness :   In Naval Academy curriculum, a lot of emphasis is laid on physical fitness. You are therefore, advised to build up stamina/physique by physical training, sports, running, swimming, etc. so that you meet the training goals successfully

Selection Procedure :  The eligible candidates will have to undergo Naval Campus Selection process. The Candidates qualifying the campus interview will be shortlisted for SSB interview on the basis of his preference for the entry, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria for particular entry. In case of excess candidates IHQ/MOD (Navy) reserves the right to further shortlist and fix cut-off percentage. 14. Candidates shortlisted during campus interview will be called for SSB interview at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam/Kolkata between Dec 19 to Apr 20. Selected candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their E-mail as provided by candidates in their application form.

He is assisted by the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (VCNS) and three other Principal Staff Officers, namely the Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (DCNS), the Chief of Personnel (COP) and the Chief of Material (COM).
