Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2016 recruitment in Jammu & Kashmir PSC
Eligibility Conditions : The conditions of eligibility and age limit etc. of a candidate shall be determined with reference to the Notification SRO- 387 dated 01.12.2008 read with SRO 190 dated 17.062016 and shall further be subject to the fulfilment of the following parameters:
a) must be a permanent resident of J&K State and
b) must hold a Bachelor&rsquos Degree in any subject from a recognized University in India or from a Foreign University declared by Government in consultation with the Commission to be equivalent to a degree of a recognized University
Further, the candidate(s) who have appeared in the bachelors degree examination in 2016, shall have to provide a proof to the effect that he/she had appeared fully in the required examination on or before the last date for filing/submission of Application Form for Preliminary Examination viz. up to 22/07/2016 and had qualified the said Examination at the time of filing up the online Application Form for the Main Examination, failing which, such candidates shall not be admitted to the Main Examination.

Age Limit : A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years but must not have crossed the age of 35 years (in case of OM candidates) on 1st January 2016
Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800 with grade pay Rs.4800
Provided further that candidates in respect of J&K Police (Gazetted) Service should possess the following physical standards also, namely :
a. For Males : Height 165 cm, Chest girth (min) 84 cm, Expansion 5 cm
b. For Females: Height 150 cm, Chest girth (min) 79 cm, Expansion 5 cm
III. For Candidates from Leh/Kargil
a. For Males: (i) Height 160 cm, (ii) Chest girth (min) 79 cm, (iii) Expansion 5 cm
b. For Females: Height 145 cm, Chest girth (min) 79 cm, Expansion 5 cm
Examination Fee : After successful submission of the online application form, a challan will be generated indicating therein the basic details of the candidate which inter-alia shall indicate the amount of fee to be deposited in the J&K Bank branch as given below:
General Category = Rs. 1005 Reserved Categories/PHC = Rs. 505.
The amount of fee payable shall include Rs .05/- as service charges for the J&K Bank.
Date of Examination : i. The date of holding the examination shall not be changed unless required for any unavoidable reasons which shall be at the discretion of the Commission. ii. Change, if any as such, in the date of examination shall be notified accordingly.
Centre of Examination: i. The Examination will be held at different centres located at Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Jammu, Kargil, Leh, Rajouri and Srinagar districts for which a candidates shall exercise an option. ii. Option for allotment of centre once exercised by a candidate shall be final and shall not be subject to any change at any cost. iii. The Commission may, however, at its discretion allot a different centre to a candidate where circumstances so warrant.
