Graduate Engineer Trainee (EL) job opportunities in in Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd.

OHPC intends to recruit bright, qualified and energetic professionals to be inducted as Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) as follows for their placement at various units & project sites

Educational Qualification : Full time Degree in Electrical Engineerings Electrical & Electronics Engineering from recognized University/Institution, approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60 % marks in aggregate or AMIE in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Note : Relaxation In Essential Qualification- In the above disciplines, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50 % for SC & ST icandidates.Candidates awaiting final results may apply.However they are required to produce original mark sheet & certificate at the time of selection test/interview otherwise they will not be allowed to appear at the interview. A pass in Odia Language test equivalent to ME standard is essential. Alternatively the candidate has to pass the requisite language test in Odia within time-period to be prescribed as per OHPC Rules

Training Stipend For GETs : The GETs/ MTs shall be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs.18,000/-per month plus medical allowance at a fixed rate of Rs.200/- per month and an additional amount of Rs.1000/- per month shall be paid to trainees if posted at Balimela and Mukhiguda as Remote Area Allowance

Scale of Pay (Pay Band) & Training Period For GETs :  The training will be for a period of 1 (one) year. On successful completion the training the candidates will be appointed as Assistant Manager (E-3 Grade) in the respective cadre on probation for 1 (one) year and placed in the PB-3 scale i.e. Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/-with GP. Rs.5400/-) with other allowances as per OHPC Rules. The services of GETs during the training period may be terminated his/her performance during the period is not found to be satisfactory

Service Agreement Bond : The selected GET candidates shall be required to execute a service agreement bond on Non-judicial stamp paper to serve the Corporation for a minimum period of 3 years (including the training as GET) at the time of joining. The Bond amount for GETs during the training period is Rs.216000/- and after training & during the bond period is Rs.300000/

Selection Procedure : Eligible candidates will be called for written test comprising multiple choice questions from (i) General Aptitude (fifty questions) (ii) Subject Knowledge (one hundred questions) to be conducted at Bhubaneswar or anywhere in the state of Odisha. General aptitude will comprise General Knowledge, English, Current Affairs, Quantitative aptitude & Reasoning Test. Candidates qualifying in the written test shall be called for the personal interview at Bhubaneswar
