SRF job vacancies in National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) for Title “Immunocharacterization of Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from Leptospira: Towards development of LPS based vaccine”

Age Limit : 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
Eligibility : Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences with NET or Post Graduate degree in professional courses (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014). However Non NET candidates can also apply who will be paid as per their eligibility. Candidate with 2 years experience in Molecular Biology and Immunological techniques and animal (mice, hamster) handling is desirable. Candidates having prior experience in working with Leptospira will be preferred.
Fellowship : Rs.28000/-+30% HRA (if applicable) as per the DST guidelines.

NIAB is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and take up research in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute's focus of research will be on Animal Genetics and Genomics, Transgenic Technology, Reproductive Biotechnology, Infectious Diseases, Bioinformatics and Nutrition Enrichment. The institute aims at translational research leading to the development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals. The Institute plans to promote bio entrepreneurship by providing support environment for commercial tenants involved in the development of farm animal based products.
