(II)Message: (A).Chairman"s Message The whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds to the benefits of education in order to make life a better paradigm. For this sort of education, there is demanded rigorous discipline of the powers of observation of the reason and especially of the will. From the very inception, Global Institutes have been striving to develop into an institution of excellence in management and technical education and research in consonance with the contemporary and future needs of India. In meeting this challenge, the Institute has always been making special efforts to recruit highly qualified and talented faculty to stimulate thinking and deeper intellectual interests. Continuous efforts have been made to provide the faculty with well-equipped facilities to enable them to participate in national endeavors in Science and Technology in a major way. Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, has rightly observed: “We must use science and technology to make the best use of our resources. In this context, innovation is the key for the production as well as processing of knowledge. Indeed, a nation’s ability to convert knowledge into wealth and social good through the process of innovation determines its competitiveness.” I am pleased to extend a hearty welcome to the young people of India to the Global campus “to strive, to seek, to find and not to yield” in the pursuit of knowledge. Dr. B.S.Chandi (B).Vice Chairman"s Message A warm welcome to the Global Institutes, Amritsar. We are a young institute but we are fully geared to address the complex challenges facing business and industry in the twenty-first century. Our objectives are to promote learning and research in the disciplines of management and engineering; to advance and diffuse such scientific, technical and professional knowledge, combined with the necessary practical training as is best calculated to help in promoting indigenous industries and in developing the material resources of the country; and to promote the building up of character in youth by ethical values as an integral part of education. Thanks to the economic reforms unleashed by the successive governments during the last two decades and the onset of globalization, we have new challenges. That is, we have to produce managers and technical professionals who can operate efficiently across the globe, who can excel in a multicultural environment and who can negotiate confidently across cultures. Further, we have to benchmark ourselves on a global scale with the best management and technical education institutions and become the institution-of-choice for the best students from all over the world. This is a big challenge indeed. I have no doubt that this objective will be achieved and exceeded. (III).Contact Global (1).Dr. Akashdeep Singh Vice-Chairman (2).Dr. A. S.
