Indian Merit Undergraduate Scholarships 2016:
This scholarship is awarded by the University of Sheffield. Undergraduate students can avail the benefits of this scholarship which covers the amount of their tuition fees. The University offers a total of 5 scholarships for a 3 year academic period.
Eligibility requirement- The applicant must hold a valid offer to study a part-time or full-time Undergraduate programme at the University of Sheffield. Also, the applicant must be an Indian national.

Chevening Scholarships for Indian Students 2016:
Chevening Scholarship is offered to Indian students to pursue a one-year Master’s Degree programme at any UK University. This scholarship aims to encourage future leaders, influencers and decision-makers to develop academically and professionally. It is funded by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and other organizations. A total of 1500 scholarships are offered and the awardees have a right to pursue any subject at any UK University.
Scholarship Value- This scholarship covers the tuition fees and offers several other benefits like an economy class return airfare to and from the UK, a monthly living allowance, and additional grants and allowances to cover essential expenditure.
Eligibility requirements- The candidate must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country. Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree and a two-year work experience in order to pursue a post-graduate programme at a UK university.
Oxford and Cambridge Society of India Scholarship 2016:
This is a joint venture of the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford, UK. Students can choose from a number of fields of study: one-year post-graduate courses like MPhil, BCL, Diploma, LLM, MBA etc; second Bachelors degree as an Affiliated Student; research leading to the PhD degree; research based Masters programmes and Bachelors degree programme. The scholarship is awarded to at least one Scholar annually.
Reward- This scholarship provides a financial assistance of INR 400,000 at either the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford. One scholarship worth INR 100,000 tenable only at Fitzwillaim College, University of Cambridge. One scholarship worth INR 100,000 tenable only at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge. Another scholarship worth GBP 1,000 pounds tenable only to read Economics at the University of Cambridge. It also provides assistance to secure education loans or other funding to meet the economic balance.
Eligibility Requirements- The applicant must be an Indian citizen. And must not be more than 30 years of age as on 1 September.
The last date for submission of application form is 30th April, 2016.
GREAT Scholarships India 2016:
This scholarship of over 1.5 million pounds is offered by the British Council. A total of 300 scholarships are offered to Indian students who wish to study in the UK. The awardees can go on to pursue 59 under-graduate and 231 post-graduate courses in subjects like IT, Engineering, Art and Design, Business, Law, Biosciences etc.

Commonwealth UK Scholarships and Fellowship 2016:
Students from developing Commonwealth countries can apply for this scholarship for Master’s and PhD degree programmes in the UK. Approximately 300 scholarships are offered by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
Reward- Commonwealth UK scholarship covers the tuition and examination fees, initial arrival allowance, thesis grant, and airfare to and from the United Kingdom.
Eligibility Requirement- The applicant must be a permanent resident of a developing Commonwealth country and a holder of an under-graduate or post-graduate degree, depending on the course applied for.
