Currently the Institute is functioning from the premises of Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Visat-Gandhinagar Highway, Chandkheda, Ahmedabad – 382424, Gujarat. 2.Where is this temporary campus located? The Vishwakarma Government Engineering College is located in Chandkheda on Visat-Gandhinagar Highway, approximately 10 km from Ahmedabad Airport and 14 km from Ahmedabad Railway Station. A taxi ride would cost about Rs 250/- from the airport. The most common transportation is an auto rickshaw. Typical fare from Ahmedabad railway station to Chandkheda by auto rickshaw is about Rs. 100. 4.How far are facilities like a post office and banks from the institute? A post office is located within walking distance from the institute. There are several banks within half a kilometer radius from the college. The IIT Gandhinagar branch of State Bank of India is also operational now and is just across the street from the Institute. 5.Will there be internet facility? What about computer terminals? Yes, adequate internet facilities are available. There are numerous terminals and a computer laboratory operating within the premises. Students" hostel also has been equipped with WiFi internet facility. 6.What is the climate like in Gandhinagar? Gandhinagar has generally a dry climate apart from the monsoon months of June to September. March to June are hot summer days with average maximum temperature of about 36? while the months of November to February are winter with temperature ranging between 15? to 30?, which can occasionally drop to 5?.
