World Wide Fund India (WWF India) invites application for the position Assistant Manager
Location: New Delhi
Job Profile:
a. Responsible for the Communications needed for the Media and PR verticals for the organisation
b. Efficient communications with different Programme Teams, field and landscape teams
c. Enhance quality standards of storytelling in all forms: to aid the ask being made
d. Create a coordinated communications plan and calendar: in co-ordination with the different divisions
e. Work with external agencies, external editors and network resources to create and deliver impactful storytelling
f. Work as a key resource for strategic media communication. Be an integral part of the wider communications team
g. Transform facts and scientific data from Programme teams into engaging stories for different mediums.
h. Maintain quality checks across all forms of communication.
i. Judiciously use the resources available in the communications team, to service
j. Adapt best practices of international to ideate and plan media communication
Desired Skills:
a. Expertise in designing media related content and press material
b. Expertise in media mapping and regional media
c. Experience of effective story telling across multiple media channels
d. Demonstrated experience in visual messaging and informational graphics.
e. Reporting or working in space of conservation preferred
f. A creative mindset and the ability to work well under pressure, completing tasks efficiently, and handling tight deadlines.
g. Experience in providing support to multiple stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications, experience & abilities:
a. Post Graduate / PG Diploma in Journalism OR Media communication OR PR
b. Minimum experience of 5 years either as a journalist or handling media communication at an organization OR PR agency.(there is a preference storytelling in the Conservation or Not for Profit domain)
c. Competency in written communication (English)
d. Strength in an Indian language will be welcome- not a pre-requisite
e. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
f. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be a forward thinker.
g. Ability to work with various departments and resolve challenges.
Remuneration will be competitive with Indian NGO pay scales and will depend upon candidate's experience levels and the overall WWF-India salary structure. WWF-India does not provide housing, telephone or vehicle facilities.
