ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian nationals for the post of Consultant - Scientific Officer to conduct vegetable research and extension services to implement its vegetable improvement program with smallholder farmers in Jharkhand. The position will be based at Ranchi in Jharkhand, India to work in the JOHAR project funded by the World Bank. This position is open for Indian nationals only.

2. Qualification and Experience: M Sc with specialization in Agronomy/Horticuluture/Plant Pathology from a recognized university/Institute and at least 8 to 10 years' working experience in projects related to vegetables
 
3. The Appointment: The initial appointment is for one year, renewable on an annual basis depending on performance and the project's continuing need for the position. An attractive compensation is offered for the right candidates.
