2. Project No. and Name: KFRI/RP 835/2021-Assessment of socio-economic and cultural uses and potential for popularisation of Dendrocalamus stocksii and Munrochloa ritchiei, two bamboo species endemic to the Western Ghats
3. Duration: Up to 30-09-2023
4. Essential Qualification:
(i) First Class Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Botany or Plant Sciences from any of the UGC approved Universities in India.
(ii) Doctoral research fellowship from UGC-CSIR or any other reputed research-funding agency, with an assured minimum fellowship duration of 18 months remaining at the time of application.
5. Desirable Qualification:
(i) Working knowledge in Malayalam language and proficiency in English language.
(ii) Preference will be given for those who have prior research experience in bamboo diversity conservation or propagation.
6. Fellowship: Rs.22,000/- per month
Age Limit:
As on 01/01/2021 - 36 years. Age relaxation of five years in the case of scheduled caste/scheduled tribe candidates and three years in the case of other backward communities as per government rules will be given.
