Qualification  :  M. Sc./ M. Tech in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Applied Optics/ Photonics/ Instrumentation/ Biological Science/ Chemical Science/ Materials Science/ Electronics Science/ Biomedical Engineering/ Science. Knowledge of Computer use is essential.

Desirable :  First Class/ division in qualifying degree

Fellowship :  Rs.32,500/-(approximately) per month including all the allowances.

Age Limit :  The candidates should have earned qualifying degree not before 2 years from the date of advertisement.

Note :  For candidates with exceptional academic record and/or experience that are closely aligned with requirements of TRC, the age and experience may be relaxed by the competent authority. For SC, ST and OBC candidates the relaxation as per GOI rules will apply.

BOSE NATIONAL CENTRE FOR BASIC SCIENCES, BLOCK-JD, SECTOR-III, SALT LAKE, KOLKATA 700 106, INDIA, with comprehensive resume complete in all respects mentioning the salary presently drawn alongwith originals of the following documents: a) Proof of age b) Educational, Professional qualifications and experience c) present salary certificate duly forwarded by the Head of the Organization, if applicable along with one self attested photocopies of the same.


Organisation Profile : The S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences (Centre) was established by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India in 1986 as a Registered Society. The Centre was established to honour the life and work of Professor S. N. Bose who was a colossal in theoretical physics and has made some of the most fundamental conceptual contributions in the development of Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Statistics.
