Transmission Electron Microscopy Facility at ACTREC is looking for a highly motivated, talented Research Associate to join the Electron Microscopy Facility. The applicant must be an Indian citizen, must have obtained a PhD degree in Life Sciences or Physics from a recognized University. Initial appointment is for a year that may be extended based on the performance of the candidate.

2. Minimum Education: PhD degree in Life Sciences or Physics.
3. Experience: Must have a minimum of two years of post-PhD degree with hands-on experience in electron microscopy including complete knowledge of instrument operation, maintenance, biological sample preparation, ultramicrotomy, immunoelectron microscopy, negative staining, human and animal pathology, data analysis, and interpretation.
4. Additional Qualities: Candidate should be able to work as part of a team and support and groom the staff working in the facility. The candidate should have interpersonal skills, good work ethics, and maintain a healthy environment and ensure high quality and efficient service to faculty.
5. Consolidated Salary: Rs. 58,280/- per month. (Rs. 47000/- +24% HRA) p.m.
6. The EM Facility provides state-of-the-art electron microscopy support for analysis of a wide variety of biological samples, including human tissues, animal tissues, cultured cells, isolated cellular components, viruses, bacteria, nano-gold particles, etc. for ultrastructural analyses or immuno-electron microscopy.
