ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian nationals for the post of Senior Assistant-Carpentry. The position will be based at Patancheru, India and is open for Indian nationals only.
1. Post Name: Senior Assistant
2. Responsibilities:
a. Attend to repairs, maintenance, upkeep and modification of all campus infrastructure and related jobs;
b. Operation and maintenance of physical infrastructure;
c. Plan and manufacture research related cages, boxes etc.; as per the requirements;
d. Involve in preparing inventory of carpentry/civil materials for general maintenance, upgrade & improvement works;
e. Provide support in research activities, facilities and institutional events & development of new facilities;
f. Maintain the records of the materials used for the jobs and record the daily work outputs;
g. Complete the assigned activities within the stipulated schedules with relevant
3. Competencies:
a. Should be able to read, understand and interpret Engineering drawings.
b. Possess a valid RTA license (2wheeler and LMV is desirable)
c. Should be able to speak (Telugu, Hindi, and English) & read / write simple English
4. Qualification and Experience: ITI / Trade certificate in the relevant field; Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry related construction and maintenance works.
5. General: This appointment is initially for three years.
