Directorate of Coldwater Fisheries Research invites application for the position Young Professional
Applications in prescribed proforma are invited for the engagement of following positions under different projects as per details mentioned below.
1. Position (No. of vacancies): YP-II Two (2 Nos)
2. Name of the Project :"Network Programme on Antimicrobial Resistance(AMR in Fisheries"
3. Qualification and experience:
Post graduate/ Master degree in Fisheries, Microbiology & Biotechnology Graduate degree holder in Aquaculture Engineering/ Technology/ Veterinary Science Working experience in antimicrobial resistance/ antibiotic residues and drugs will be preferable.
4. Nature of Work:
Candidate has to undertake extensive field level survey, collection of samples for AMR study from rainbow trout and carp farms in state Himanchal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Jammu and Kashmir. Besides that candidate has to also undertake laboratory based analysis for the phenotypic and genetic determinant of antimicrobial resistance.
5. Location of Work: ICAR- DCFR, Bhimtal
6. Total emoluments: Rs. 35,000/- (Consolidated)
7. Duration of project: Three years or closure project

2. Name of the Project : Ichthyofaunal diversity and health assessment of Central Himalayan River, Saryu, Uttarakhand for Field Centre Champawat
3. Qualification and experience: Post Graduation in Fisheries Economics/ Agriculture Economics.
4. Desirable:
Experience in water quality analysis, Fish and Plankton sampling Good knowledge in taxonomy and biology of fishes The candidate must be willing to travel frequently in high altitude areas of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jummu & Kashmir and North East India. Excellent computer documentation and analytical skills Candidates with ICAR/CSIR /UGC NET will be given reference.
